APPLE
COFFEE CAKE RECIPE
This Apple Coffee Cake is a
lovely tasting cake to sit down and have with a hot cup of
coffee. Just slice the Apple Coffee Cake and have a dab of
whipped cream on it. Another way to have the Apple Coffee
Cake is as a lovely dessert with custard and cream. My family
really enjoy it both ways.

Coffee Cake Ingredients
1 1/2 cups plain flour
1 tsp cinnamon
2 tsp baking powder
1/2 cup sugar
1/3 cup brown sugar
2 eggs
1/2 cup milk
1/2 tsp vanilla essence
1/3 cup melted butter
3 tart apples

Coffee Cake Method
In a bowl
combine the baking powder, sugar and flour. In a jug mix the
milk, vanilla essence, eggs and melted butter. Combine this
mixture with the flour mixture and mix till its a soft batter.
Grease a 9 inch round or square cake tin and pour the mixture
into it. Take the apples and peel and slice them and put them
on top of the batter so they are overlapping. Now mix the
cinnamon and brown sugar and sprinkle it over the top of the
Apple Coffee Cake and bake it at 400 degrees for 25 minutes.
Serve with whipped cream.
