AUTUMN
CURRY RECIPE
It is starting to get cold
here and I was just looking at my recipes and I decided to
cook a lovely Autumn Curry. It is a great nourishing curry.
If you don't like the peanuts in your Autumn Curry you can
leave them out as quite a few people are allergic to them.
I just like relaxing on a week end so my husband and I just
sit in the lounge room and watch television and have a plate
of the Autumn Curry.
Autumn
Curry Ingredients
1 large onion
1 bayleaf
1 cup water
2 dsp butter
1 tsp salt
1/2 green pepper
1 dsp curry powder
1 lb minced steak
1 cup seeded raisins
1/2 cup salted peanuts
6 oz packet frozen peas
1/4 tsp monosodium glutamate
1 level dsp cornflour blended with a little water
Autumn
Curry Method
The first
thing to do is to peel and slice the onion and then to seed
and slice the green pepper. Once that is done melt the butter
in a pan and saute the onion and green pepper for 5 minutes.
Sprinkle the monosodium glutamate, salt and curry powder over
the meat and place it in the pan. Stiring it well cook until
it changes colour and then add the raisins, water and bayleaf
then stir until it boils. Turn down the heat and cover the
pan and let it simmer for about 30 minutes. Add the peas and
peanuts and let it cook for 5 more minutes then stir in the
blended cornflour and cook stirring well until the curry boils
and thickens. Then cook it for a further 3 minutes. Serve
the Autumn Curry over freshly cooked rice.
Enjoy your freshly made Autumn
Curry!
