BEEF
CHOP SUEY RECIPE
Have
you ever wanted to cook a really good chop suey well this
recipe for Beef Chop Suey is so easy to make and your family
will think you have bought this meal. This Beef Chop Suey
tastes real good if you serve it over a bed of rice. I sometimes
use the jasmin rice with the Beef Chop Suey as it gives it
a different taste.
Beef Chop
Suey Ingredients
1
tsp salt
1/4 cup oil
1 tsp sugar
1 1/2 lb beef
pinch pepper
2 small onions
3 dsp cornflour
2 dsp soy sauce
2 cups beef stock
1/4 cup cold water
2 cups bean shoots
3 cups celery pieces
Beef Chop
Suey Method
Cut
the beef into strips and fry in the heated oil at a high temperature
for about 3 minutes making sure to stir constantly. Mix in
the soy sauce, pepper and salt. Remove from the pan and keep
hot. Then add the celery pieces, chopped onion, sugar and
stock to the hot oil remaining in the pan and cook for 10
minutes, stirring frequently. Add the bean shoots and cook
for 3 minutes then add the beef. Blend the cornflour with
the cold water and add to the mixture. Cook the Beef Chop
Suey stirring frequently until thickened. Continue cooking
for 3 minutes after the mixture comes to the boil. Serve the
Beef Chop Suey over hot boiled rice.
