Beef Napoli Method:
Cut the meat into 1 inch pieces and
sprinkle with the salt and pepper. Heat the oil in a pan and fry
the meat to lightly brown.
Mix the tomato paste with the water, lemon juice, sugar, marjoram,
thinly sliced carrot and crushed garlic. Pour over the meat. Cover
the pan and cook for about 2 hours or until the meat is tender.
Cook the macaroni in boiling salted
water, drain and toss with cheese and chives. Place in a serving
dish and spoon the cooked meat on top.
