FRIED
CABBAGE RECIPE
This recipe
will teach you how to make Fried Cabbage. It is a quick and
easy recipe to make. Fried
Cabbage is a great way of doing cabbage and the taste is fantastic
with the flavour of cabbage, bacon, onion and pimento. I always
do this recipe at the end of the week with my left over cabbage
that I have not used. Friday night is usually an easy cooking
night for me and thats why I like to cook the Fried Cabbage
and served with fresh buttered dinner rolls makes the meal
just right.
Fried
Cabbage Ingredients
pinch salt
2 Tbs sugar
4 Tbs water
pinch pepper
1 oz pimento sliced
3 slices bacon chopped
1/2 medium onion chopped
1/2 medium cabbage chopped
Fried
Cabbage Method
Fry the bacon with the onion
in a large skillet. Add the cabbage and remaining ingredients.
Cook the Fried Cabbage covered for about 18 minutes or until
the cabbage is tender. Serve the Fried Cabbage with fresh
buttered dinner rolls.

BEANS WITH POTATO AND BACON RECIPE
This
recipe will teach you how to make Green Beans with Potato
and Bacon. It is a quick and easy recipe to make. Green
Beans with Potato and Bacon is a very simple recipe to cook
but has the wonderful flavours of the beans, potato, bacon
and onion that makes the taste of this recipe sensational.
Green Beans with Potato and Bacon Ingredients
4 cups
water
1 1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
1/4 cup chopped onion
5 slices bacon cut into 1inch pieces
2 cups fresh green beans cut into 1 inch pieces
4 small new potatoes scrubbed and cut into 8 pieces

Beans with Potato and Bacon Method
Place the water, beans, potatoes
and 1 teaspoon of the salt in a medium saucepan and bring
to a boil over medium high heat. Reduce the heat to low then
cover and simmer for 10 minutes or until the beans and potatoes
are tender. Drain off the water and cover and set aside. In
a 12 inch skillet over medium high heat fry the bacon and
onion until the bacon is crisp and the onion is tender. Drain
off all but 1 tablespoon of the bacon drippings. Add beans
and potatoes and toss until well coated with bacon and onion.
Sprinkle the Green Beans with Potato and Bacon with remaining
1/2 teaspoon salt and pepper and serve.
