CANNELLONI
RECIPE
Cannelloni is one of my favourite
pasta recipes. Serve this pasta dish with a side salad and
you will really enjoy it. There is many pasta recipes but
when I'm having my grandchildren over for a meal they always
ask for the Cannelloni I believe they like seeing the Cannelloni
stuffed with the beef, spinach and cheese and the other ingredients.
The taste is really sensational.
Cannelloni
Ingredients
1 egg
cannelloni tubes
1 lb ground beef
2 cups tomato sauce
1/4 cup bread crumbs
salt and pepper to taste
2 cloves of garlic minced
1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
1/4 cup grated romano cheese
1 cup cooked chopped spinach
Cannelloni
Method
Put a little
oil in a frying pan and fry the ground beef. Break the beef
up into small pieces while it is cooking. After it has cooked
transfer it to a large mixing bowl then add salt, pepper and
garlic and mix well. Add egg, cheese, parsley, bread crumbs
and more salt to taste. Squeeze water out of the cooked spinach
and chop it up and add the spinach and 1/2 cup tomato sauce
to the rest of the mixture. Spread some tomato sauce on the
bottom of a baking pan. Stuff cannelloni shells with the mixture
and place them in the pan. Spread more tomato sauce in between
each layer and on the top. Bake the Cannelloni at 350 degrees
for 1 hour. Then broil for 3 minutes to brown top. Great served
with hot garlic bread.
