This recipe will teach you how to make Cavatini. It is a quick and easy recipe to make. Cavatini is a very tasty dish and the flavours are fantastic.This pasta recipe is quite exceptional with the flavours of sauce, pepperoni, sausage and cheese. All my family are lovers of pasta so I know when I cook up any pasta dishes it all gets eaten but the Cavatini is one of my families favourite pasta dish.

Cavatini Ingredients

2oz margarine
1 large onion diced
1 tsp garlic powder
1/2 lb hamburger browned
1 large green pepper diced
1/2 lb italian sausage browned
8 oz mozarella cheese shredded
16oz jar meat flavoured prego sauce
1 lb assorted pasta wheels, shells, spirals
1/2 lb pepperoni sliced thin then cut in half

Cavatini Method

Melt margarine over medium high heat in a skillet then add onions, peppers, and garlic powder. Saute for about 4 minutes. Meanwhile cook pasta according to box directions. Heat sauce and combine with cooked hamburger and cooked sausage. Use cooking spray to lightly grease an 11 X 13 casserole dish. Place 1/2 of the cooked pasta in the dish followed by 1/2 the vegetables then 1/2 of the pepperoni and 1/2 sauce. Repeat another layer. Spread mozzarella cheese over top. Bake the Cavatini at 350 degrees for about 45 minutes or until cheese is melted.

CHEESE RAVIOLLI RECIPE

Cheese Raviolli.

This recipe will teach you how to make Cheese Raviolli. It is a quick and easy recipe to make. Cheese Raviolli is a great pasta recipe. Wonderful tastes of cheeses done in squares of pasta with a rich tomato broth. My grandsons and husband really like the Cheese Raviolli as they really enjoy cheese but my daughters and I like any kind of raviolli as they are all nice even the spinach and cheese raviolli.

Cheese Raviolli Ingredients

1/4 cup goat cheese
3/4 cup ricotta cheese
2 cloves garlic chopped
salt and pepper to taste
1/4 cup parmesan cheese
8 squares of 4 x 4 squares of fresh pasta

Tomato Broth:
2 tsp olive oil
1/2 cup red wine
3 shallots chopped
1 Tbs chopped basil
3 cloves garlic chopped
1/3 cup parmesan cheese
1 cup strong chicken stock
1/2 tsp cracked black pepper
2 Tbs minced sundried tomatoes
4 very ripe tomatoes seeded and chopped

Cheese Raviolli Method

For the ravioli in a small bowl mix together ricotta cheese, parmesan cheese, goat cheese and garlic and mix well. Season with salt and pepper and mix well. Lay 4 of the squares of pasta out on a board and moisten the edges well with water. Place about 1/4 cup of the cheese mixture in the middle of the pasta then top with a square of pasta and crimp the edge well. Set aside until ready to cook. For the tomato broth heat a large saute pan with olive oil until very hot. Add garlic and shallots and saute until you can smell the aroma about 1 minute then add red wine and reduce about 3 minutes until almost dry add chicken stock and tomatoes and cook over high heat, reduce after about 5 minutes. Add sundried tomatoes, basil and pepper and simmer for about 2 minutes. Season with salt and keep warm. To assemble heat 2 quarts of salted water until boiling then add the ravioli and cook just until the water comes back to a boil about 2 to 3 minutes. Place the ravioli into a soup plate then pour the tomato broth over the ravioli. Serve the Cheese Raviolli hot and garnished with parmesan cheese.
