CHICKEN
CHOW MEIN RECIPE
This recipe
will teach you how to make Chicken Chow Mein. It is a quick
and easy recipe to make. I
really enjoy any meal with chicken in it but I really am addicted
to chinese cooking and this Chicken Chow Mein is one of my
favourite asian style recipe.
Chicken
Chow Mein Ingredients
12 oz noodles
1 Tbs rice wine
saIt and pepper
3 Tbs soy sauce
4 oz bean sprouts
4 Tbs vegetable oil
1 Tbs dark sesame oil
2 oz ham finely shredded
4 scallions finely chopped
2 garlic cloves finely chopped
2 oz snow peas ends removed
8 oz skinless boneless chicken breasts
Chicken
Chow Mein Method
In a saucepan
of boiling water cook the noodles until tender then drain,
rinse under cold water and drain well. Slice the chicken into
fine 2 inch pieces and place in a bowl. Add 2 teaspoons of
the soy sauce, the rice wine and sesame oil. In a wok heat
half the vegetable oil over a high heat. When the oil starts
smoking add the chicken mixture and stir fry for about 2 minutes
then transfer the chicken to a plate and keep it hot. Wipe
the wok clean and heat the remaining oil. Stir in the garlic,
snow peas, bean sprouts and ham, stir fry for another minute
and add the noodles and continue to stir fry until the noodles
are heated through. Add the remaining soy sauce to the Chicken
Chow Mein and season with salt and pepper. Return the chicken
and any juices to the noodle mixture and add the scallions
and give the Chicken Chow Mein a final stir. Serve the Chicken
Chow Mein at once.
