COOKED LAMB POTATO PIE RECIPE

Cooked Lamb Potato Pie.

This recipe will teach you how to make Cooked Lamb Potato Pie. It is a quick and easy recipe to make. This is a wonderful pie you can make with your leftover lamb roast. The taste is really exceptional. Just mince the lamb and add some onion, mushrooms, gravy and sauce and then you have this quick meal. I like serving the Cooked Lamb Potato Pie with peas. I usually have this pie on monday night after we have had our roast dinner on sunday as there is always leftover roast.

Cooked Lamb Potato Pie Ingredients

1/2 pint gravy
1/2 oz dripping
1 egg lighly beaten
2 oz mushroom sliced
salt and pepper to taste
1 lb cooked lamb minced
1/2 tsp worcestershire sauce
1 onion peeled and chopped
1 lb potatoes boiled and mashed

Cooked Lamb Potato Pie Method

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Put the dripping into a frying pan and fry the onions and mushrooms for a few minutes. Keep a few mushroom slices for the top of the pie. To the frying pan add the lamb, worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper and gravy then mix well and place in a ovenproof dish. Put lots of mash potato on top and run a fork through it then brush the top with beaten egg. Cook the Cooked Lamb Potato Pie in a moderately hot oven for about 30 minutes until golden brown take the pie out of oven and decorate with mushroom slices and then return to oven to reheat for a few minutes. Serve the Cooked Lamb Potato Pie with peas.

CABBAGE LAMB CASSEROLE RECIPE

Cabbage Lamb Casserole.

This recipe will teach you how to make Cabbage Lamb Casserole. It is a quick and easy recipe to make. This a fantastic family casserole to make and the flavour is really sensational. My family like this meal on a cold winters night in front of the fire just relaxing and chatting while we eat our Cabbage Lamb Casserole. It is good to relax with the family in an atmosphere where they can talk and have a good nourishing meal together.

Cabbage Lamb Casserole Ingredients

1 oz margarine
2 lb lamb chops
1 whole cabbage
1 lb peeled potatoes
1 tsp caraway seeds
8 oz tomatoes halved
sald & pepper to taste

Cabbage Lamb Casserole Method

Trim the fat of the lamb then place it in the bottom of a flameproof casserole dish. Take the cabbage and shred it and discard the hard core then wash well and drain and put half on top of the fat trimmings. Put the chops on top of the cabbage and sprinkle with caraway seeds and seasonings then top with the potatoes and the rest of the cabbage and dot it with butter. Cover the casserole dish and bring it to the boil and simmer for an hour. About half an hour before the casserole is ready top with tomato halves. A little water can be added at this time if it seems to dry then cover and finish cooking.
