CRAB
STUFFED MUSHROOMS RECIPE
This recipe
will teach you how to make Crab Stuffed Mushrooms. It is a
quick and easy recipe to make.
Crab Stuffed Mushrooms are really for you as an appetizer
if you like crab and mushrooms. I use the bigger button mushrooms
for this recipe as they stay firmer when you stuff them. The
flavours of mushrooms, onion, cream cheese, crabmeat, water
chestnuts, pimento peppers, parmesan cheese, dijon style mustard
and butter go into making this recipe a taste sensation.
Crab Stuffed
Mushrooms Ingredients
3 Tbs butter
6 1/2 oz crabmeat
2 Tbs finely chopped onion
1lb large button mushrooms
4 Tbs grated parmesan cheese
2 Tbs chopped pimento peppers
1/4 cup chopped water chestnuts
2 Tbs prepared dijon style mustard
3 oz package cream cheese softened
Crab Stuffed
Mushrooms Method
Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
Remove stems from the mushrooms retaining the caps and chop
the stems. In a medium saucepan melt the butter. Brush the
mushroom caps with the melted butter. In the remaining butter
cook and stir the chopped mushroom stems and onions until
tender. Gradually mix the cream cheese and mustard into the
saucepan and continue stirring until smooth. Stir in the crabmeat,
water chestnuts and pimentos. Heat until warm. Stuff the mushroom
caps with the crabmeat mixture. Sprinkle the stuffed caps
with parmesan cheese. Put the stuffed mushrooms into a shallow
pan and bake the Crab Stuffed Mushrooms at 400 degrees for
15 minutes or until hot.
