CRUNCHY
DATE BISCUITS RECIPE
This recipe
will teach you how to make Crunchy Date Biscuits. It is a
quick and easy recipe to make. I absolutely love anything
with dates in it thats why I really enjoy the Crunchy Date
Biscuits. The flavour of dates and walnuts mixed with the
rest of the ingredients makes the taste of these biscuits
just fantastic.
Crunchy
Date Biscuits Ingredients
1 egg
cornflakes
4 oz butter
1/2 tsp salt
1 1/4 cup plain flour
1/4 cup white sugar
1/2 tsp bi-carb soda
1/4 cup brown sugar
1 tsp vanilla essence
1/2 cup dates chopped
1/2 cup walnuts broken
1 1/2 cups coarsely crushed
Crunchy
Date Biscuits Method
Cream the butter with white
and brown sugar until light then add the egg and vanilla mixing
in well. Add the dry ingredients to the creamed mixture blending
well then stir in the dates and nuts. Put the crushed cornflakes
on a piece of paper and drop the biscuit mixture by the teaspoonfuls
onto the cornflakes and toss to cover then place on a greased
biscuit tray and top each with a half walnut. Bake the Crunchy
Date Biscuits in a moderate oven 350 degrees for 15 minutes.
Allow to cool on tray.
