TOMATO TORTA RECIPE
This recipe
will teach you how to make Dried Tomato Torta. It is a quick
and easy recipe to make.
This recipe just doesn't taste good but looks good to especially
when you are having a special dinner party. Make it the main
center piece on the appetizer table and your friends will
really be surprized at how excellent the Dried Tomato Torta
looks and tastes.

Tomato Torta Ingredients
2 Tbs oil, from dried tomatoes
1 cup parmesan cheese freshly grated
2 cups fresh basil leaves lightly packed
1 cup cream cheese at room temperature
1 cup unsalted butter at room temperature
1/2 cup sun dried tomatoes oil packed, drained

Tomato Torta Method
With an electric mixer, beat
cream cheese, butter and parmesan cheese until very smoothly
blended. Cut 4 tomatoes into thin strips and set aside. Whirl
remaining tomatoes, oil and about 1/2 cup of the cheese mixture
until tomatoes are very smoothly pureed scrape puree back
into bowl with cheese mixture and beat to blend. Cover bowl
and chill for about 20 minutes, or until firm enough to shape.
Mound cheese on a platter. Arrange reserved tomato strips
and basil leaves around the Dried Tomato Torta.
