FISH
AND BACON CASSEROLE RECIPE
This recipe
will teach you how to make Fish and Bacon Casserole. It is
a quick and easy recipe to make. Fish
and Bacon Casserole is a great combination of cod and bacon
with onions, tomatoes, green pepper, garlic mixed with the
rest of the ingredients is what gives this recipe a great
taste.
Fish and
Bacon Casserole Ingredients
2 Tbs butter
2 Tbs olive oil
salt and pepper
2 onions quartered
1 tomato quartered
1/2 lb bacon cubed
12 oz can tomatoes
1 clove garlic chopped
1 cup soft white bread crumbs
3 tsp prepared english mustard
1 green pepper seeded and cut into rings
1 1/2 lb cod skinned and cut into 2 inch pieces
Fish and
Bacon Casserole Method
Cook the bacon over a low heat
in a flameproof casserole until the fat begins to run then
add the onions and if there is not much fat add the butter
as well and cook until soft and golden. Add the mustard, tomatoes,
fish, salt and pepper to taste. Cover and simmer over a low
heat for 25 minutes until the fish flakes easily. Meanwhile
heat the oil in a frying pan and fry the breadcrumbs and garlic.
When the casserole is ready add the green pepper, tomato,
breadcrumbs and garlic. Cook uncovered for a further 5 minutes.
Serve the Fish and Bacon Casserole with salad and new potatoes.
