This

Berry Tart is just similar to eating strawberries and cream
only better. You can use any berries you like but I prefer
Strawberries or blackberries.
Fresh Berry Tart Ingredients
For
the Base:
1 egg
pinch salt
4 oz butter
1/2 cup sugar
1 cup plain flour
1/2 tsp baking powder
1 dsp orange rind grated
For The Topping:
2 dsp gelatine
3/4 cup boiling water
2 cups fresh strawberries sliced
1 cup sweetened whipped cream
Fresh
Berry Tart Method
In a bowl beat the butter and
sugar and add beaten egg then flavour with the orange rind.
Mix the flour, baking powder and salt then add to the creamed
mixture making a smooth dough. Line a 9 inch square baking
pan with greased paper and spread the dough evenly over it.
Bake in a moderate oven 375 degrees for 15 to 20 minutes or
until lightly browned and cool thoroughly. To make the topping
first dissolve the gelatine in the boiling water and chill
until it is syrup. Spread about 1/3 of this over the cooled
base mixture and arrange the strawberries on top, sprinkle
strawberries with a little sugar. Spoon the rest of the gelatine
over the Fresh Berry Tart and chill until set. To serve, cut
into 12 even pieces and spoon the whipped cream on top.
