FRUIT
AND OAT SLICE RECIPE
This recipe
will teach you how to make Fruit and Oat Slice. It is a quick
and easy recipe to make. This is a great healthy slice full
of fruit and oats such as rolled oats, rice bubbles, weet
bix, coconut, dried apricots, dried apples, honey, peanut
butter, brown sugar and butter, now wouldn't you like to make
your own health slices go on make the Fruit and Oat Slices.
Fruit
and Oat Slice Ingredients
125g butter
1/2 cup honey
1 cup coconut
1 cup rolled oats
1 cup rice bubbles
4 weet bix crushed
3/4 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup peanut butter
1/4 cup chopped dried apples
1/4 cup chopped dried apricots
Fruit
and Oat Slice Method
First thing grease a 19cm x
29cm lamington pan. In a large bowl combine oats, rice bubbles,
weet bix, coconut and fruit. In a saucepan combine the sugar,
honey, peanut butter and butter stir constantly over heat
without boiling until butter has melted and sugar dissolved.
Bring to the boil then reduce heat and simmer stirring constantly
for 5 minutes or until mixture thickens. Stir honey mixture
into dry ingredients and then press evenly into prepared pan.
Refrigerate the Fruit and Oat Slice until set before cutting.
