MUSHROOM TURNOVERS RECIPE

This recipe will teach you how to make Mushroom Turnovers. It is a quick and easy recipe to make. Mushroom Turnovers are a very good appetizer recipe to serve. They sometimes call mushrooms a vegetarian meat as they are full of goodness. I always buy my mushrooms at the supermarket as some mushrooms can be poisonous and you have to make sure you have the right ones. So it is better not to pick wild ones from a paddock.

Mushroom Turnovers Ingredients

3 Tbs butter divided
2 Tbs onion minced
2 Tbs sesame seeds
2 Tbs fresh parsley minced
2 1/2 Tbs grated parmesan cheese
8 oz can refrigerated crescent roll dough
1/4 lb fresh mushrooms coarsley chopped

Mushroom Turnovers Method

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. In a medium saucepan over medium heat slowly cook and stir the mushrooms, parsley and onion in 2 tablespoons butter until tender then drain and set aside. Separate the dough into 4 rectangles. Cut rectangles in half forming 8 squares and arrange on a large baking sheet. Place 1 tablespoon mushroom mixture on each square. Top each square with 1 teaspoon parmesan cheese. Fold the squares into triangles. In a small saucepan melt remaining butter and brush the triangles with butter and sprinkle with sesame seeds. Bake in the preheated oven 15 minutes until golden brown. Serve the Mushroom Turnovers warm.

Enjoy your freshly made Mushroom Turnovers!
