ORANGE SORBET RECIPE

This recipe will teach you how to make Orange Sorbet. It is a quick and easy recipe to make. We live in an area that grows oranges so I make a lot of Orange Sorbet. If you can get fresh oranges like me use the juice of them to make six ounces other wise use canned orange juice. The taste is really exquisit and smooth that once you have one bowl you keep wanting another. My grandsons really love this recipe so I make sure I always have some made for when they call in after school.

Orange Sorbet Ingredients

1 egg white
1/2 pint water
3 oz castor sugar
6 oz can frozen orange juice

Orange Sorbet Method

In a saucepan add the sugar and water and heat slowly until the sugar has dissolved and then allow the syrup to cool. Add the orange juice to the sugar syrup and then blend them together then pour it into a 1 pint shallow plastic lidded container. Put the sorbet into the freezer of the refrigerator for half an hour or until just firm. Into a bowl put the sorbet and mash down until there are no large pieces then fold in the stiffly whisked egg white. Return the sorbet to the container and cover then return to the freezer until required. Put the Orange Sorbet in the refrigerator for 30 minutes before serving into individual glasses.

Enjoy your freshly made Orange Sorbet!
