FAGIOLI RECIPE

onion, pasta, chicken broth, beans, tomatoes, parsley, oregano,
parmesan cheese are just some of the ingredients that goes
into making this a great tasting meal.
Pasta
Fagioli Ingredients
1 tsp salt
3 Tbs parsley
2 Tbs olive oil
1 Tbs oregano
1/2 tsp pepper
1 onion chopped
8 oz elbow macaroni
5 cups chicken broth
3 garlic cloves minced
16 oz can kidney beans
grated parmesan cheese
1/8 tsp crushed hot red pepper
3 boneless skinless chicken breasts
28 oz can crushed tomatoes with added puree

Fagioli Method
Cut chicken into 1/2 inch pieces
and season with salt and pepper. In a 5 quart soup pot heat
olive oil over medium high heat. Add chicken and cook stirring
until lightly browned on the outside. Remove with a slotted
spoon and set aside. Reduce heat to medium then add onion
and garlic and cook stirring occasionally until softened but
not browned 3 to 5 minutes. Add the chicken broth and bring
to a boil. Stir in the pasta and reduce the heat to low. Cook
until the pasta is tender but still firm. Add the chicken,
beans, tomatoes, parsley, oregano and hot red pepper. Cook
stirring occasionally until heated through 5 to 7 minutes.
Serve the Pasta Fagioli with bread sticks.

WITH FENNEL RECIPE
This
recipe will teach you how to make Pasta with Fennel. It is
a quick and easy recipe to make.
This pasta recipe is full of flavour with the mixture of herbs,
onion, cheese and fennel make the Pasta with Fennel a very
special pasta dish. You can use any shaped pasta with the
Pasta and Fennel. My family all like the flat pasta but sometimes
I make it with the spiral or whatever I have in my kitchen
cupboard at the time.
Pasta with Fennel Ingredients
flour
1 onion
olive oil
50g butter
350g pasta
150ml stock
100ml cream
1 large fennel bulb
2 Tbs grated cheese
a little parsley chopped
1 Tbs fresh chopped cumin leaves
Pasta
with Fennel Method
Put the butter and 2 tablespoons
of olive oil in the pan and add the onion finely sliced and
gently fry it. Trim and finely slice the fennel bulb and add
to the pan. Leave for a few minutes and stir from time to
time. Then stir in a teaspoon of flour and the boiling stock.
Add the cumin leaves then stir and cover and cook over low
heat for about 20 minutes. Dilute with a bit more stock if
the sauce becomes to dry. When the fennel is tender add the
cream and stir then add the salt and keep the pan over a low
heat for a few more seconds. Cook the pasta in salted boiled
water till it is soft. Drain and stir in 2 tablespoons of
olive oil. Pour over the fennel sauce and cheese. Mix the
Pasta with Fennel and serve at once sprinkled with a little
chopped parsley.
