POORI DEEP FRIED RECIPE

Poori Deep Fried.

This recipe will teach you how to make Poori Deep Fried. It is a quick and easy recipe to make. I really like the poori cooked this way and I usually make up an avocado spread to go with them. We have the Poori Deep Fried instead of bread sometimes as they are very tasty and filling. My family all like the Poori Deep Fried and they all like different spreads on them as one of my daughters like jam and cream on hers.

Poori Deep Fried Ingredients

1/2 tsp salt
1/2 cup water
1 cup all purpose flour
1 cup sifted whole wheat flour
2 Tbs oil plus more for deep frying

Poori Deep Fried Method

Put the 2 flours and salt in a large bowl and drizzle the 2 tablespoons oil over the top. Rub the oil in with your fingers so the mixture resembles coarse breadcrumbs. Slowly add the water to form a stiff ball of dough. Empty the ball on to a clean work surface. Knead it for 12 minutes or until it is smooth. Form a ball. Rub about 1/4 teaspoon oil on the ball and slip it into a plastic bag. Set it aside for 30 minutes. Knead the dough again and divide it into 12 equal balls. Keep 11 of them covered while you work with the twelfth. Flatten this ball and roll it out into a 5 inch round. If you have the space roll out all the porris and keep them in a single layer covered with plastic wrap.

In a deep fryer fill about 1/3 with oil. Let it get very very hot. Meanwhile line a platter with paper towels. Lift up one poori and lay it carefully over the surface of the hot oil. It might sink to the bottom but it should rise in seconds and begin to sizzle. Using the back of a slotted spoon push the poori gently into the oil with tiny swift strokes. Within seconds the poori will puff up. Turn it over and cook the second side for about 10 seconds. Remove it with a slotted spoon and put it on the platter. Make all the pooris this way. The first layer on the platter may be covered with a layer of paper towls. More pooris can then be spread over the top. Serve the Poori Deep Fried hot.

PRAWNS WITH BATTER DEEP FRIED RECIPE

Prawns with Batter Deep Fried.

This recipe will teach you how to make Prawns with Batter Deep Fried. It is a quick and easy recipe to make. I really love to make a stir fry up and cook the Prawns with Batter Deep Fried and add it to the top of the stir fry the taste is really sensational. My family prefer my stir fry's than going out to a chinese restaurant so I like to have a meal like this at least once a month with the family.

Prawns with Batter Deep Fried Ingredients

1 egg
1 Tbs oil
1 tsp salt
4 cups oil
1 lb prawns
3/4 cup flour
3/4 cup water
1 cup cornstarch
2 tsp baking powder

Prawns with Batter Deep Fried Method

Shell and devein prawns and clean leaving the tails on. Sprinkle with salt and mix well. Refrigerate for two hours. Mix flour, baking powder, cornstarch, eggs, oil and water to make a batter. Heat deep fryer and add 4 cups oil and reheat. Holding the prawns by the tails dip in batter then drop into hot oil. Fry until golden turning once. Drain the Prawns with Batter Deep Fried and serve hot or with a stir fry.
