ROASTED PORK IN WHITE WINE RECIPE
This recipe
will teach you how to make Pot Roasted Pork in White Wine.
It is a quick and easy recipe to make. I have this meal each
Sunday as my family meal. All my children and grandchildren
come around and I cook the Pot Roasted Pork in White Wine
and plenty of vegetables. This
pork recipe is unbelievably light, fresh and tasty. Also pot
roasting the pork as opposed to straight roasting gives you
a lovely natural sauce made with the meat juices and the wine.
Pot Roasted
Pork in White Wine Ingredients
olive oil
4 bay leaves
2 knobs butter
salt and pepper
1 Tbs fennel seeds
1 fennel bulb sliced
1/2 bottle Chardonnay
8 cloves garlic skin left on
1 handful fresh rosemary, leaves picked
3 lb pork loin off the bone and skin removed
Pot Roasted
Pork in White Wine Method
Preheat the oven to 400 degrees.
With 2 bits of string tie up your pork loin you don't have
to be fussy about how you tie it, you just want to keep the
meat in a snug shape while it's cooking. Season generously
with salt and pepper then roll the meat in the fennel seeds
until covered. In a roasting tray fry the meat for a couple
of minutes in half the butter and a little olive oil until
nice and golden.
Throw in the garlic, herbs,
fennel and wine then cover the tray loosely with some wet
greaseproof paper and cook until an inserted meat thermometer
reaches 150 degrees. As the pork loin is off the bone it cooks
very quickly. Remove the Pot Roasted Pork in White Wine from
the oven and allow the meat to rest on a plate. Then without
using any more heat finish off your sauce in the pan scraping
any goodness off the bottom and adding the rest of the butter.

POLENTA RECIPE
This
recipe will teach you how to make Proper Polenta. It is a
quick and easy recipe to make. This
recipe makes a wonderful creamy polenta
that I am sure your whole family will enjoy. The
parmesan gives it a wonderful cheesy taste. I use to make
polenta plain but my grandchildren would not eat it but then
I started adding some parmesan with it and they loved it.
So cook some Proper Polenta up this way and I am sure your
whole family will enjoy it.
Proper Polenta Ingredients
8 oz butter
1 litre water
salt and pepper
8 oz instant polenta
2 handfuls grated parmesan cheese
Proper
Polenta Method
In a large pan bring the water
to a boil then slowly stream in the polenta whisking continuously.
Once it's mixed continue to stir over the heat for 15 to 20
minutes. Stir in the butter and parmesan then you can add
a little more water to make it the right consistency. Season
and serve the Proper Polenta straight away.
