ROAST
CHICKEN RECIPE

This recipe
will teach you how to make Roast Chicken. It is a quick and
easy recipe to make. With
this recipe you can have a lovely Roast Chicken cooked and
ready to serve in minutes. You can prepare the roast vegetables
to go with it the night before and then just reheat them in
the microwave after you cook the Roast Chicken. You never
have to miss out on a roast dinner because of work or late
shopping when you have a microwave.
Roast
Chicken Ingredients
2 Tbs honey
1 tsp paprika
1 Tbs soy sauce
2 Tbs melted butter
1.5 kg roasting chicken

Chicken Method
Put the honey, soy sauce and
paprika in a jar and put the lid on and shake the bottle till
they are combined. Brush this mixture all over the Roast Chicken.
You can use a roasting rack or a roasting bag to cook the
chicken. Place the chicken breast down on a roasting rack
and cover with the lid. Calculate the cooking time at 4 to
5 minutes per kg. Halfway through the cooking turn the chicken
breast up and brush with butter. Drain the juices from the
dish and cook the Roast Chicken for the remainder of the calculated
time. With a sharpe knife pierce the inside thigh joint of
the Roast Chicken and check that the juices run clear. If
the juices are still pink cook the Roast Chicken a little
longer checking at regular intervals. When the Roast Chicken
is cooked remove from roasting rack and cover lightly with
foil and let stand for 15 minutes. Serve the Roast Chicken
with roast veggies and gravy.

SAUSAGE
CASSEROLE WITH DUMPLINGS RECIPE
This
recipe will teach you how to make Sausage Casserole with Dumplings.
It is a quick and easy recipe to make.
When my Aunty used to
cook the Sausage Casserole with Dumplings she would never
put bread and butter on the table as she always said you got
your bread in the dumpling and it took me a lot of years to
understand what she meant as we were that used to having bread
at every meal.
Sausage Casserole with
Dumplings Ingredients
8 sausages
1 Tbs butter
1 onion chopped
1 1/4 cups hot gravy
125g button mushrooms
2 rashers of lean bacon chopped
125g mixed frozen vegetables defrosted
Dumplings:
water
pinch dried sage
2 tbsp shortening
salt and pepper to taste
1 1/4 cup self raising flour
Sausage
Casserole with Dumplings Method
For the dumplings mix together
all the ingredients and add enough water to make a soft dough
then on a floured board form the dough into four dumplings.
Set to one side. Preheat a browning dish to maximum as recommended
by the manufracturer. Add the butter, onions, sausages and
bacon. Cover and cook on high for 7 minutes stirring once.
Add the gravy, mushrooms and vegetables. Cover and cook the
Sausage Casserole with Dumplings for 6 to 7 minutes. Then
add the dumplings and cook the Sausage Casserole with Dumplings
on high for 2 minutes and serve.
