STRAWBERRY
SHORTCAKE RECIPE
This recipe

Strawberry
Shortcake Ingredients
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 cup sugar
1/4 tsp baking soda
2 tsp baking powder
2 cups all purpose flour
3 Tbs chilled margarine
3/4 cup low fat buttermilk
1 egg white lightly beaten
1 1/2 tsp granulated sugar
1 tsp chilled margarine cut into small pieces
Strawberry Topping:
fresh strawberries
1/2 cup reduced calorie frozen whipped topping, thawed

Shortcake Method
Combine
flour, sugar, baking powder, salt and 3 tablespoons of chilled
margarine in a bowl and cut in margarine with a pastry blender
until mixture resembles coarse meal. Add buttermilk and stir
just until dry ingredients are moistened. Turn dough out onto
a heavily floured surface. Knead dough 5 or 6 times. Roll
dough to 1/2 inch thickness and cut with a 3 inch biscuit
cutter. Place on a baking sheet and brush with egg white and
sprinkle with sugar. Bake the Strawberry Shortcake at 450
degrees for 12 minutes or until golden. Split biscuits and
place bottom halves of biscuits on individual plates. Spoon
1/2 cup strawberry topping over each biscuit half, top with
remaining half. Spoon 1 tablespoon whipped topping over each
Strawberry Shortcake.

GRAIN PUDDING RECIPE
This
recipe will teach you how to make Three Grain Pudding. It
is a quick and easy recipe to make. The
three grains used in this pudding are rice, oat groats and
barley then mixed with raisins, honey, nutmeg, cinnamon, cloves
and vanilla extract are just some of the ingredients that
makes the Three Grain Pudding Taste Really Great.
Three Grain Pudding Ingredients
2 egg yolks
2 Tbs honey
1/4 cup barley
2 cinnamon sticks
1/4
cup oat groats
1/2 cup powdered milk
2 1/4 cups spring water
1/4 cup seedless raisins
2 egg whites stiffly beaten
1/4 cup whole brown short grain rice
dash of nutmeg, cinnamon, cloves and vanilla extract
Three
Grain Pudding Method
Cook the three grains in water
with the cinnamon sticks until the grains absorb the water.
Beat egg yolks with powder milk and 1 cup of water. Add raisins
and honey and a dash of nutmeg, cinnamon, cloves and vanilla
extract and mix into the grains. Beat egg whites until stiff
then fold into grain mixture and place in a covered casserole
and bake at low heat 300 degrees for 45 minutes. Three Grain
Pudding can be served hot or cold.
