TOMATO
AND THYME SHANKS RECIPE
This recipe

when I am making the Tomato and Thyme Shanks served over mashed
potato. The taste is absolutely magnificent so put this recipe
on your list for the next meal you will really enjoy it.
Tomato
and Thyme Shanks Ingredients
250mls
water
4 lamb shanks
125mls cider vinegar
250mls tomato sauce
1 clove garlic crushed
1 red pepper chopped
2 spring onions chopped
freshly ground black pepper
1 tsp finely chopped fresh thyme

and Thyme Shanks Method
Preheat oven to 150 degrees.
In a large casserole dish add the shanks, spring onions and
red pepper. In a screw top jar add tomato sauce, vinegar,
water, garlic and thyme then shake to combine and pour over
the shanks. Cover and bake for 2 1/2 hours or until shanks
are very tender then season to taste with pepper. Serve the
Tomato and Thyme Shanks over mashed potatoes.

PAPRIKA
LAMB RECIPE
This
recipe will teach you how to make Paprika Lamb. It is a quick
and easy recipe to make.
This is a very delicious way of cooking lamb and I like to
serve it with boiled potatoes. I really enjoy this meal in
the winter months in front of the open fire. My husband really
enjoys the Paprika Lamb as I make it special for him and set
up our little table in front of the open fire and just use
candles on the table and it looks so good with just the reflections
of the fire and candles and my husband always says he really
enjoys the Paprika Lamb on our special nights. The one thing
is to that you are not worn out from cooking as it is just
so simple to make the Paprika Lamb but it can become such
a special night.
Paprika Lamb Ingredients
4 Tbs oil
250mls water
2 onions sliced
125mls dry white wine
185g stuffed green olives
4 Tbs flat leaf fresh parsley chopped
1 kg lamb steak cut into 2.5cm squares
Yogurt Marinade:
1/2 tsp chili powder
220g natural yogurt
1 tsp ground turmeric
1 1/2 Tbs mild paprika
2 tsp grated lemon rind

Lamb Method
The first thing to do is to
make the marinade by combining the turmeric, paprika, chili
powder, yogurt and rind in a bowl then add the steak and toss
to coat. Cover and refrigerate for 3 hours or overnight. In
a large saucepan heat the oil then add onions and cook over
medium heat for about 5 minutes or until onion is soft. Add
the steak and marinade and cook over high heat for about 10
minutes then stir in the wine and water and bring to the boil
then turn down the heat and cover and simmer for about 1 1/2
hours or until steak is tender. Stir in the olives and parsley
and cook over a medium heat for 3 minutes longer then season
to taste. Serve the Paprika Lamb with boiled potatoes.
